COVID – 19 Responses by Sadhana

Sadhana has taken initiation on COVID – 19 responses to support Dry ration, vegetables to Migrants families, BPL families, and as well as Hygiene kit & meals support to all depts. Staff, with the support of local donors, industrial persons, elected representatives in Medak district of Telangana state.

Sadhana implemented the project in collaboration with kerk in Actie from 1st Sep’ 2019 to 30th Aug’ 2020. Under Phase II project. We are all aware of the COVID – 19. The Indian government declared Lockdown from March’2020. The entire activities stopped for some time, but the government of Medak district and the municipality of Narsapur supported Sadhana to take over the relief program during the lockdown period, the government also provided the legal permissions to move in the project area. Immediately Sadhana core team decided to support the government efforts to address the critical situation. In the months of April and May, the sadhana team participated and deeply involved in the distribution of Sanitizers, Masks, Dry ration, Vegetables, food packets to the needy people.

PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS BY STRENGTHENING OF CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEMS TO SUSTAIN "CHILD LABOR FREE ZONES"

Sadhana Social service NGO based organization has been implementing phase 1 project in Narsapur mandal of Medak district with the support of Kerk in Actie, from 1-Sep-2016 to 31-Aug-2019, during this phase Sadhana has implemented the activities like Baseline Survey on Child issues, improving Status of Education, Creation of Child Labour Free Zones, Addressing the Adolescents and Women issues, Capacity Building, Trainings, Sensitization to School Management Committees (SMC), Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRI), Balika Sanghas, Child Protection Committees (CPC), Status of implementation of Right to Education Act and Stock taking at District and State level and studies on SMC-RtE.
